The room was adequate, it had recently been decorated. The bathroom required refurbishing. The bath was stained, rust round the base of the taps, shower curtain too long,

We arrived very late in the evening and had to catch the Shuttle very early the next morning so did not have a chance to explore Calais Old Town. What we did see however would certainly persuade us to stay longer the next time.

Calais has always been a 'stopping off ' point'. But,it has improved over the years. The hard and restaurants are always a delight. The War museum is very interesting and worth a visit.
We are not beach people, but it looks nice.

We ate at Family Pub which is a friendly, open-all-day spot. Calais is small and a pedestrian-perfect town. We hit it on a very windy weekend. We stayed at the Lighthouse Inn from booking.com. Claire was wonderful. She had valuable insight on places to eat. Her apartment is ultra clean and modern with all the latest tech with massive big beds. Plan to return.

We didn't stay long enough to be able to give a decent review of Calais, just 48 hours. We did really enjoy it and will happily return. There were a large selection of restaurants to choose from, some large, slightly out of town hypermarches, and some boulangeries that we enjoyed. We enjoyed Le Bleriot Beach, even in February. We visited Dunkirk and even crossed the border into De Panne in Belgium. We discovered that Calais is most definitely a place to visit in its own right, not just for a night before a ferry or a tunnel crossing.

Calais as been revamped, and a lot of money spent on the beach area. Good restaurants!! Especially one called the MOUTON BLANC!! Simple French cooking and cheap. This place could be a great family holiday. Great beaches and nice walks to do. Your not that far from Paris or Brussels with easy access to trains that Serve both capitals. Yes overall good place.
The owner is so helpful in explaining to us about the room and the facilities. There are quite complete facilities, such as television, wifi, microwave, coffee-maker, water heater, etc. It’s really comfortable to be in the bedroom! Would come again if I had a chance, because it was raining all day and had not enough time to travel the destinations near the homestay. Also, the waffle/croffle, whatever it was, it’s really delicious! Thank you!!
Plenty of parking on the premises, quick check in and out with friendly English speaking staff, the room had a few nice touches like the bathroom door being divided and hinged in two places so that there was enough room - very clever! Safety chain on the window. Extra piece to keep water inside the shower. Wouldn't normally see a hotel go to the trouble to put these little thngs in.
This was a real surprise. We were only looking for somewhere to stop before the Calais ferry and were very impressed with the hotel and its excellent staff. The restaurant was way better than we were expecting — I would recommend the hotel both for accommodation and for dining.
Breakfast was excellent
Rooms were very clean
beds were very comfortable
customer service was outstanding, very friendly ladies and helpful
we were really pleased and will recommend this hotel to friends and colleagues for their future stay in calais.
An excellent overnight stay, it's clean, it's near main road, it has self check in after desk working hours, no matter how late you arrive, tired after long drive, you have room ready and waiting.
We are coming back to B&B stays whenever is possible.
We had a warm welcome from our host and the property was clean and characterful. Our host was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Calais. We were pleasantly surprised by the architecture and history of Calais.
Breakfast was ample and delicious.
The hotel was delightful and the location in the centre of Calais was perfect. It was close to the lovely park and Musee. The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was good. It was served in the rather elegant dining room which was a joy.
sensational place. the owners were magnificent, the room was exceptional, the breakfast was wonderful. the whole place oozed pride in itself. its worth the journey to calais alone. I can't rate this small hotel highly enough. thank you
Super location for a stay in Calais. It was easy to park and a short walk to the centre of town with many restaurants and bars. The accommodation was clean and comfortable a great base to explore the town and nearby countryside.
The accommodation was perfect! Modern, clean, very comfortable with free parking, close to Calais and shops, and only 15 mins drive to Ferry Port. Would recommend and use again without hesitation.
Modern, clean and friendly hotel. Room was a reasonable size, bed comfortable and good shower. Great location for the calais to Dover ferry and ample parking. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Really unique guest house, lovely staff, was so nice to be somewhere unmistakably French, rather than a chain hotel where you really could be anywhere. Great location in central Calais.
Used as a stopover for the Eurotunnel. The room was pretty cheap and was fine for our needs, it was clean and comfortable. The hotel is on the seafront on the east side of Calais.
This was a great place. Stylish, roomy and well equipped. The downstairs bed was ver comfortable and the location was great with a few bars and restaurants nearby.
Easy to find, convenient to the port, nice restaurants a 10 minute walk away. Stayed at the beginning and end of our tyip. Our hotel of choice when in Calais
